Doctors Say Complementary Approach to Care Highly Recommended
June 19, 2020
A study completed in December of last year has shown that more than 53% of office-based physicians in the U.S., across multiple specialty areas, recommended at least one complementary health approach, such as integrated medicine therapies, to their patients during the previous year.1
In the study, the researchers found recommendations by physicians to their patients for approaches including, non-vitamin supplements, chiropractic/osteopathic manipulation, and other therapies. One of the most highly recommended therapy was chiropractic/osteopathic manipulation, followed by supplements.
According to Journal of Alternative Medicine and Complementary Medicine,
“The data likely significantly understate present level of recommendations of complementary health practices by physicians.”
